Curriculum Vitae

Professor (Dr) Jagmeet Madan is an Eminent Nutritionist and Consultant

She is a Professor and Director, Postgraduate Programs and Research, Innovation, Collaboration and Consultancy Centre (RICCC) and was the Principal of  Sir Vithaldas Thackersey College of Home Science (Empowered Autonomous Status) , SNDT Women’s University, Mumbai for 15 years.

She is also the National President, Indian Dietetic Association.


With more than 30 years of rich experience as a leading nutritionist and expert in National and International bodies, she’s been a Nutrition Expert for the National Nutrition Science Professional Council, National Commission for Allied and Healthcare Professions, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Govt of India, 26th March 2025.


Dr Madan is also a Member of the National Task Force (Nutrition Curriculum) and the National Allied Health Council, Govt Of India, 2024. 


She was also an Expert on the FSSAI Scientific panels on Labelling and Claims / Advertisement and Scientific Panel of Nutrition and Fortification from 1st January 2020 to 31st March 2023 and is presently on the Expert Committee of FOPNL of FSSAI, Govt of India (2023 onwards) and National Task Force of International Year of Millets 2023.


Currently, Dr Madan is the India Representative for Asian Federation of Dietetic Association (AFDA) and the India Representative for International Confederation of Dietetic Association (ICDA).


She is the Recipient of ‘Young Scientist Award’ and ‘Dr.Ramanathan Award’ by the Nutrition Society of India, National Institute of Nutrition, Hyderabad.


She is also a Gold medalist with more than 50 publications in International and National Peer reviewed Journals and Books.

The workshop was conducted by Food and Agriculture organization of the United Nations with the ICMR- National Institute of Nutrition, Hyderabad, India.
